The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority has failed to secure its preferred candidate to lead the Cambridge Autonomous Metro (CAM) project.
The combined authority named David Hughes as its choice for the chief executive post for its new company One CAM Ltd in a report presented to the CA board this week. But in an oral update to the meeting, board members heard that Hughes had turned down the job offer, having accepted another post.
