Levenmouth line reopening contract

Transport Scotland has awarded Mott MacDonald a contract to prepare a train stabling strategy in connection with the reopening of the Levenmouth railway in Fife to passenger services. The five-mile line to Leven, with an intermediate station at Cameron Bridge, is anticipated to reopen in December 2023. Services will run to Edinburgh, joining the existing rail network at Thornton North Junction. The line became redundant in 2001 following the closure of Methil Power Station. ...
