Highland joins hydrogen economy push

Highland Council is backing a proposed hydrogen production facility on the Cromarty Firth that could produce ‘green’ hydrogen for transport. 

The Cromarty Firth, on Scotland’s northeast coast, has long been associated with the North Sea oil and gas industry but the area is now increasingly focused on renewable energy, such as offshore wind.
