Firstgroup has entered an agreement to sell two of its three North American businesses – First Student and First Transit – to EQT Infrastructure for £3.3bn.
The transaction, which should be completed before the end of this year, would leave FirstGroup as a UK-focused rail and bus business, with the exception of the Greyhound coach service in North America. First is still trying to dispose of this asset.
