Hitachi Rail agrees recovery plan

The Hitachi Class 800 trains removed from service when cracks were found on some of the fleet are to be reintroduced after “rigorous safety checks”, said the Rail Delivery Group. There were cancellations after 182 trains were pulled on Saturday 8 May. After safety checks on their trains, Transpennine Express, Hull Trains and Scotrail are once more running services.
