Newcastle expands cashless payment options

Pay-on-exit will be offered at 12 sites near shops and hospital

City of Newcastle Council is expanding the number of cashless pay-on-exit systems at central car parks. This means people who need to travel by car into the city centre will only pay for the length of time they stay.

The pay-on-exit system at Eldon Square and Eldon Garden car parks for those paying by card will be rolled out across 10 other car parks.

The 10 car parks that will have new payment systems introduced are: Grainger Town, Manors, Quayside, Dean Street, Claremont Road, Leazes Park...
