Private vehicle ban on Bristol Bridge is made permanent

A trial that banned private vehicles from Bristol Bridge and some nearby routes has been made permanent after the council noted improvements to air quality and bus reliability and reduced congestion. The bridge and other routes were closed to traffic under an experimental traffic order last August.

Buses, solo motorcycles, taxis and cycles are allowed to use the routes.
