Change work practices to attract more women, says DfT report

Over the past decade, the UK’s transport infrastructure sector has made progress to improve its equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), but “gender stereotyping” is still limiting career opportunities for women, according to a new report for the DfT. The research report, commissioned by Strategic Transport Apprenticeship Taskforce and, found a low uptake of shared parental leave, which  potentially exacerbated bias against women in the workface.
