Action to make car washes are legal workplaces

Safer Parking Scheme and police to work with car wash scheme

The Safer Parking Scheme will be working with the Responsible Car Wash Scheme (RCWS) and Police Crime Prevention Initiatives (Police CPI) as part of its work to reduce crime in car parks.

The hand car wash sector has been identified as a sector where workers are at risk of exploitation in the form of poor working conditions and modern day slavery. Legitimate businesses are often undercut by those breaking the law.
