Brent Council is rolling out kerbside electric vehicle chargepoints across the north-west London borough.
Some 242 lamp column charging points are being installed by Ubitriciity and Siemens.
Ubitricity is deploying ‘smart socket’ technology system that embeds the charging point into streetlights.
The council declared a climate emergency in 2019, and since this time has been working towards reducing carbon emissions and encouraging the use of alternative methods of travel.
