Rishi Sunak’s Spring Statement was notable for a conspicuous absence of any comment about transport other than the fuel duty cut.
The Local Government Association (LGA) wrote to Sunak shortly before the Spring Statement to express concern about the long-term prospects for bus services and the role of buses in reducing carbon emissions and giving private car users a realistic and sustainable alternative mode of travel.
