the use of electric cars and bikes. This underlines its opposition to London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s Silvertown Tunnel project which, says the council, will increase
In March Greenwich Council joined Newham, Hackney and Lewisham councils in calling for the Silvertown Tunnel project to be halted.
Averil Lekau, deputy leader and cabinet member for Climate Change, Environment and Transport, said: “Transport is the second biggest source of climate change emissions in the borough. It’s vital we have an accessible, sustainable transport network which enables people to choose more active and healthy transport options, as well as cutting air pollution.
