Sheffield becomes sixth city in England to introduce Clean Air Zone

Sheffield’s Clean Air Zone (CAZ) is now in operation, covering the inner ring road and city centre. It is a Class C scheme, which means it covers heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), light goods vehicles (LGVs), vans, buses, coaches and taxis but not private cars and motorbikes.

This is the sixth CAZ scheme in England, along with the schemes in Bristol, Bath, Birmingham, Portsmouth and Tyneside (Newcastle & Gateshead).
