Wales considers banning multi apping by private hire drivers

The Welsh Government is considering preventing private hire drivers from working for multiple operators at the same time, in an attempt to stop the “multi-apping” which can lead to sudden cancellations of bookings.

The proposal is one of many in a white paper which the government is now consulting on, ahead of a Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) (Wales) Bill.
