Newcastle City Council is to conduct an “internal review” of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTN) throughout the city. LTNs have been introduced in four areas of the city, most recently in Jesmond where an 18-month trial is underway.
The review of the LTNs comes after the council’s former external auditing partner voiced concerns about governance and consultation procedures in implementing Jesmond’s LTN, according to local newspaper The Chronicle.
