The National Trust is to lock car parks at Dunstable Downs, a rural beauty spot, from the early evening due to anti-social behaviour and littering.
The trust said it was currently exploring ways for people to enjoy the landscape later into the evening.
Dunstable Downs in Bedfordshire is the highest point in the East of England and offers viewpoints on the Chilterns ridge.
