Robertson new chief executive at Transport Focus

Alex Robertson is to become the new chief executive at Transport Focus on 1 December taking over from Anthony Smith, who will be stepping down at the end of the year.

Robertson will join from the Pensions Ombudsman, where he has been executive director for strategy and operations with the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman since 2020.

Transport Focus - which acts as the watchdog for users of both public transport and the strategic road network - said that Robertson impressed during the selection process with his wide-ranging experience, passion for the needs of the transport user and vision for its future development “as an even more effective voice for the transport user”.
