Amazon has created some confusion by announcing the launch of city parcels delivery using drones in the UK before it has received an operating licence for any such activity, and with other regulatory issues still to be defined.
Local authorities have not yet received any information on what role they will play, if any, in regulating deliveries by drone and dealing with complaints about noise pollution or other issues.
