DfT launches patrols to crackdown on anti-social behaviour

Frontline safety officers will go on patrol to tackle anti-social behaviour on buses, trains and trams in a pilot which will get £2.5m in funding from the DfT. The new Transport Safety Officers will be deployed in four areas: Bournemouth, Christchurch and Pool; Lancashire; Stoke-on-Trent; and Thurrock – in collaboration with Essex and Southend-on-Sea councils.
