Newly formed APN Group, a provider of debt recovery and enforcement services, has completed the build-out of its board structure by the appointment of Mike Marrs as its chief executive.
Marrs worked with enforcement specialist Marston Holdings for over two decades, most recently as business development director.
He is a familiar face within the parking industry having only recently stepped down as president of the British Parking Association. Marrs is also an entrepreneur working in areas outside parking.
“I’m stoked to be back in harness and building relationships in the parking, debt and enforcement world, that, frankly, I love,” said Marrs.
“Everyone who knows me knows I’m not your typical corporate exec, but at APN Group we’re leaning into what makes us different. That’s how we’ll use our collective expertise to bring the industry exactly what it wants and has been waiting for.”
Marrs' new role with APN became effective from 24 November.
Harry Clarke, board chairman of APN Group, said: “We genuinely can’t believe our luck. For Mike to become available, and then to choose to join the APN Group, will turbocharge our growth. A charismatic man, he thinks differently and with passion, which forges belief and unity. The board is united in our certainty that he will lead us to powerful success.”
APN Group’s first move in the sector has been to acquire Trace Enforcement Group, a provider of debt recovery and enforcement services to the private and public parking sectors. APN has appointed John Mason as managing director, Paul Kyte as client director, and Colin Arthur as transformation director.
The three founding directors of Trace Enforcement Group – Chloe Barnes, Louis Ellis and David Jarvis – remain shareholders, and have taken up active roles within the newly established APN Group.
