An application has been submitted to the London Borough of Brent for a housing development which includes plans to build a new London Overground station and improve Neasden tube station on the Jubilee line.
The initial proposal for Neasden tube station includes a new entrance and wide footbridge over the railway linking the new entrance to the existing station ticket hall building.
The developer has proposed a covered colonnade, which would replace the narrow pavement, linking Neasden tube station with the new Overground station.
The proposed development will see a series of towers built above a podium on a strip of land next to the tube station known as Neasden Goods Yard. This will comprise a mix of residential, student and light industrial uses.
The proposed development, by Hollybrook and designed by Allies and Morrison, will feature 1,151 new homes, 604 student accommodation units, residential amenities, industrial units, community centre, public open space and retail units.
