The installation of solar panels on the roof of a car park could cut bills by up to £58,000 every year, says Worcester City Council.
The council is to spend £521,000 installing the panels on the roof of St Martin's Gate car park in City Walls Road.
Joint council leader Cllr Marjory Bishop said the installation would increase the amount of energy produced by nearly 450%.
