Achieving net zero will require emissions reduction across the economy, including from the use of non-road mobile machinery (NRMM), the Government has announced. NRMM refers to any mobile machine, transportable equipment or vehicle which is not intended for carrying passengers or goods on the road such as excavators, forklifts, generators, and tractors.
Emissions from NRMM constitute approximately 11.4 million tonnes of CO2, said the Government.
