Rogers and Parkin to head North Wales group

Ashley Rogers, Chief Executive Officer of the North Wales Business Council, and John Parkin, Emeritus Professor of Transport Engineering at the University of the West of England, have been appointed as chair and vice-chair, respectively, of a new North Wales transport delivery group. 

The group will work with local authorities and other agencies on implementing recommendations made by the recent North Wales Transport Commission, led by Lord Burns. Rogers and Parkin were members of the commission.

The group is modelled on the South East Wales “Burns delivery unit”, which has helped to drive forward implementation of recommendations by the commission in that region which Lord Burns had previously chaired.
