The Government has obtained the required Parliamentary approval of the new National Networks National Policy statement (NNNPS), after a thinly attended short 90-minute debate just before the Easter recess. There was some criticism from the few MPs who spoke, including Labour Shadow Transport Spokesperson Bill Esterson, Chair of the Transport Committee Iain Stewart and Green MP Caroline Lucas.
