Scottish cities begin enforcement of Low Emission Zones

Four cities in Scotland are to start enforcing their Low Emission Zones (LEZs) after a two-year ‘grace period’.

LEZs were introduced across Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow on 31 May 2022. This was followed by a ‘grace period’ to give people time to prepare for the schemes.

Enforcement of the LEZs will start on 1 June, with the exception of Dundee where it will start on 30 May.
