Somerset’s demand responsive transport (DRT) bus service has been launched to cover people living in the town of Somerton and the surrounding villages.
The new Digital Slinky minibus service, funded by a £13m Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) grant from the DfT, will run on a trial basis until March 2026.
The Slinky app uses existing bus stops and landmarks as pick-up points, including supermarkets, town centres, education and health care services.
