Data shows dip in cycling levels, but still higher than 10 years ago

Cycling traffic fell by 5.3% in the year ending March 2024 compared with the previous 12 months, according to new data from the DfT. However, despite the dip, longer-term trends show that cycling traffic levels have increased by 10.6% since December 2013.

The data is published as a rolling annual index, referenced to a 2013 baseline, from the date which consistent data is available, said the DfT.
