Professor Patricia Thornley has joined the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK’s (APC) new academic advisory group. Formed in 2013, the centre is supporting the automotive industry transition to net zero. Thornley is director of Aston University’s Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute.
She said: “Joining the committee will allow me to contribute my expertise to the benefit of the automotive industry and the wider national academic community.
“The aim of the group is to help strengthen the national partnerships between academia and industry to bring further high-quality research into the auto sector.
The academic community is an important part of APC’s portfolio as almost a quarter of its projects have academic partners.”
