The £1.7bn A303 Stonehenge tunnel and two other road and rail schemes have already been scrapped, and other transport projects will be reviewed, under the far reaching financial package to ‘restore economic stability’ announced by chancellor Rachel Reeves this week.

Whilst the Government is looking for spending cuts, Reeves indicated that the Government would turn to the private sector to “ leverage in billions more in private investment.”
