Creagh becomes Defra’s Minister for Nature

Mary Creagh CBE has been appointed Minister for Nature at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). Creagh returned to Parliament at last month's General Election as Labour MP for Coventry East. She was MP for Wakefield from 2005 until 2019, served as Shadow Transport Secretary from 2013 to 2014 and Chair of the Environmental Audit Committee from 2016 to 2019. 

After losing her seat in the 2019 election, Creagh took on several roles including a year as Chief Executive at the walking charity Living Streets.
