Local Transport Minister Simon Lightwood has agreed to reconvene the Hammersmith Bridge Taskforce to step efforts to re-open it to motorised traffic.
The bridge, which opened across the Thames in 1887, was closed in 2020 by its owners the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham (LBHF) after the identification of micro-fractures.
It was reopened in 2021 to pedestrians, cyclists and river traffic but remains closed to motor traffic.
