The Government’s pledge to fix up to one million more potholes a year will be helped by new technology, Transport Secretary Louise Haigh has stated.

She visited Blackpool last week to find out about the Project Amber scheme. This uses an advanced imagery system that takes high-definition images of roads to detect potholes and compile data on areas most in need of repair.
