Research indicates that petrol and diesel sales will stay strong despite impending ban

Nearly two-thirds of motorists plan to buy a new petrol or diesel car despite the Government’s pledge to reinstate ban on new internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles from 2030, according to new research.

Last year the previous Government announced it would push back the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel powered cars from 2030 to 2035.

The survey, by the Green Insurer, shows that 88% of UK motorists are aware of the 2030 deadline for the ban on the sale of new petrol or diesel...
