Motor Insurance Taskforce to tackle rising costs for drivers

Transport secretary and economic secretary bring together industry experts, consumer champions and regulators

A new cross-government Motor Insurance Taskforce has been launched by transport secretary Louise Haigh and economic secretary Tulip Siddiq to tackle rising costs of car insurance.

The secretaries of state are holding a meeting at the Treasury that brings together industry groups and consumer champions such as the Association of British Insurers, Citizens Advice, Which? and Compare the Market, as well as insurance regulators.
