In the 12-month period ending March 2024, GB-registered HGVs transporting freight within the UK lifted 1.57 billion tonnes of goods, which is 2% lower than the previous 12-month period ending March 2023 new Dft statistics reveal.
The vehicles moved 169 billion tonne kilometres of goods, which is 1% lower than the previous 12-month period but travelled 19.4 billion kilometres, which is 1% higher than the previous 12-month period.
