A £1.1bn investment to expand Stansted Airport has been hailed as one of the outcomes of the Government’s International Investment Summit held in London this week.
It has been claimed that £63bn investment and nearly 38,000 jobs for the UK were secured by the Summit, but in truth most of the supposed new deals have been in the pipeline a long time and a great deal of spin has been undertaken to create the apparent ‘outcome list’.
