Government bus franchising plan appears ‘unfunded’, argues Bacon

New Shadow Transport Secretary Gareth Bacon has suggested that the Government’s bus franchising plan is “unfunded”.

During a parliamentary debate on the Government’s new draft Franchising Schemes Regulations, Bacon, just appointed to his post by new Tory leader Kemi Badenoch, accepted that bus franchising might work in some areas but questioned if it would benefit rural communities.
