A pioneering scheme that gives taxi users with disabilities special access through Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) is being trialled in Hackney ahead of plans to roll it out across the capital. Under the trial people with long-term mobility difficulties or severe visual impairments will get an automatic exemption through six bus gates in the borough’s LTNs.
