Passenger numbers at the new Cardiff Bus Interchange have surged upwards as more services have been diverted to start and finish there.

The interchange is east of the site of Cardiff Central bus station, which closed in 2015 for property development. The replacement facility was promised by 2017 and opened in June 2024 with a relatively small number of routes initially. Most of the routes were operated by Cardiff Bus, and two by Stagecoach.
