A Transport Scotland report has advised the Scottish Government’s Transport Secretary Fiona Hyslop not to accelerate plans for the dualling of the A9. Accelerating the delivery plan is not accelerated is likely to “negatively impact procurement, construction, supply chains and increase disruption for road users”, the report says. “Acceleration would also likely risk price increases, due to increased competition for resources.”
