Roll-out of 20mph limits linked to lower car insurance premiums

The introduction of 20mph speed limits appears to be pushing down car insurance premiums, suggests new data from Confused.com.

Steve Dukes, the company’s Chief executive, said: “Some UK insurers are observing that areas where 20mph zones have been introduced result in lower levels of claim frequency – a key factor in the cost of car insurance.”
