‘Barriers’ deter autistic people from using public transport

Most autistic people are deterred from using public transport, which heavily limits their opportunities and quality of life, says a new report from the National Autistic Society.

The new report found that autistic people face uncertainty, a lack of understanding and empathy from others, difficult sensory environments and inaccessible information when travelling on public transport in the UK.
