New regime could boost fleet renewal and decarbonisation

Wales has an older and more polluting bus fleet than the other UK nations. The uncertainty over Welsh bus reform since 2017 has deterred or prevented investment in new fleets, the main exceptions being Cardiff Bus and Newport Transport which have acquired electric buses following the awarding of DfT grants.
