Merseytravel is shortly to start work on improvements to Birkenhead bus station. The improvements include: three new bus stands, an extension to the existing travel centre, and improved waiting facilities. A 100-metre bus-only lane between Conway Street and Claughton Road will be built to improve bus movements. The work should be completed by early next year.
