Transport for London is inviting expressions of interest in the contract for the 45-year concession to design, build, finance and operate the Thames Gateway Bridge project. A 4.8km four-lane dual carriageway will run from the A13/A406 junction at Beckton, north of the River Thames, to the A2016 in Thamesmead, south of the Thames. A tolled 2.3km bridge will cross the river with two additional lanes on the western side provided for public transport and a further lane for cyclists and pedestrians....
