Property developer HelioSlough has lodged an appeal against the refusal by St Albans District Council to grant planning permission for a rail freight terminal at Park Street, near Radlett. The 121-hectare facility would be built on the former Radlett Airfield and include five warehouses with intermodal facilities, parking for 1,665 cars and 617 lorries, a new junction on the A414 and a link road from there into the terminal site and connecting with the A5183 at the M25 overbridge.
