Atkins, together with its local partner, Tsinghua Tongfang, has recently signed a contract to work on the Guangzhou Public Transport Monitoring and Dispatching System in the PRC. This project, for the Office of Transport of the Central District of Guangzhou, is claimed by the UK consultant to be the first whole-city intelligent public transport system in China and the first project of its type to introduce/adopt international project management and consultancy.
