We have almost gone full circle. Streets were originally places in which people did stuff. Met each other. Bought and sold things. Drank beer. Enjoyed life.

There was some traffic on these streets but it wasn’t the dominant thing. A horse and cart would come along and drop something off or pick something up and then go away again. No big deal. But then we started to get more and more vehicular traffic, even back in the day of the horse and cart and it started to dominate the streets.
