(Dynamic Roadspace Utilisation Manager)
Product description:
DRUM uses historical traffic data and live data gathered from a radar at the side of the road to predict upcoming traffic conditions. This enables contractors to plan their roadworks in accordance with traffic conditions and to better be able to react to changes. DRUM will advise on the best lane closure plan to give lanes to the traffic when needed (therefore preventing unnecessary congestion) but also to take lanes from the traffic when there is no demand, giving roadworkers a longer working window.
